| at the planning meeting for the next ZCon and made a thorough presentation, cutting out all the commentary and just sticking to the facts and some key testimonials from those in the loop. Then the planners would be left holding the stick on what to do and what course of action should be taken or whether they want to turn a deaf ear to it. People have to realize that apart from those who are regular ttnet users and/or are really hawkish and cogniscent of some of the other more respectable auto forums, people are really completely ignorant of what is going on. What is "no duh" to everyone here who sees the unfiltered reality, is a total "?" to the rest. This stuff should be brought up with those who care at local Z meetings, and it should not be brought up as a "ttnet" thing. Everyone has their little petty forum loyalties and dont want to acknowledge the possibility that theirs didnt get the scoop on something relevant to the others. It needs to be brought up as an aftermarket thing, reference the HKS closure, reference the Kojima articles, support it all with the things that regular Z guys here at TTnet have discovered on their own, often times via dumb luck like the AMS-stamped brand new manis sold by some random ebay vendor, along with the rest of the instances of blatant xeroxing, and bring in any of the reputable vendors willing to be part of the discussion. That's my take on it. I'm glad I'm not involved in Z club stuff anymore because I simply cant hide my contempt for people's willing ignorance and sheer desire to stick their heads in the sand and pretend like it isnt affecting anything in a negative way. I'm simply not diplomatic enough for it.
